Drafted 103rd overall out of Wisconsin in 2022, Leo Chenal has become a defensive powerhouse for the Kansas City Chiefs, making a name for himself with his aggressive style and knack for disrupting both the run and pass games. It's clear why the Chiefs staff believes he’s one of the strongest players in the NFL, pound-for-pound. His physicality and athleticism shine in various roles—whether he's stopping ball carriers at the line or putting pressure on the quarterback.

Chenal’s instincts and relentless motor make him invaluable in Steve Spagnuolo’s defensive schemes. A standout moment came during the game-winning fourth-down play against the Falcons. While Nick Bolton made the tackle, it was Chenal who almost single-handedly collapsed the pulling offensive line. We saw glimpses of his potential in college, particularly when he dominated Ravens center Tyler Linderbaum, but his dominance at the pro level has been a pleasant surprise.

Chenal’s rise in the NFL is noteworthy; he’s quickly establishing himself as one of the most underrated defensive players in the league. His ability to consistently make impactful plays hasn’t gone unnoticed by Chiefs Kingdom. As he continues to grow and refine his skills, expectations for him will only rise. Fans and analysts alike should pay close attention to Chenal; his trajectory suggests he will be a cornerstone of the Chiefs' defense for years to come.
